Artificial intelligence-enabled practice in social care

Artificial intelligence (AI) systems are developing rapidly, and their use across social care and beyond is becoming increasingly common. Changes in practice are inevitable.

There are many benefits to using AI, such as saving time and reducing administrative burden. However, these benefits come with risks and ethical challenges.

Join Research in Practice and Sarah Rothera for a full-day workshop designed to build practitioner confidence in the safe and ethical use of artificial intelligence across social care.

The workshop will help practitioners and those supporting practice in use AI tools lawfully, ethically, and responsibly for case recording and administration. We will focus on using AI in ways that align with professional standards, protect individual rights and dignity, and reduce the risks of ungoverned practice.

This workshop is designed for frontline practitioners across Children’s and Adults services, practice supervisors, practice leaders (including PSWs and service managers) and CPD teams.

Please note: This session is specifically practice-focused rather than for corporate IT or digital staff. The session focuses on developing AI literacy and critical thinking skills in relation to using AI. We will not be training participants on how to use specific AI applications.

This event is a workshop.

A workshop is a facilitator-led interactive session. Hosted online, participants come together to develop their knowledge and learn new skills through activities and discussion.
