The chapter looks forward to how technology solutions might be creatively used in adult social care practice in the future. Both the opportunities and challenges of ensuring that older adults are ‘digitally included’ and meaningfully involved in the development and use of technology in adult social care, are also explored. Chapter 4 will be of interest to practitioners and residential care managers, decision-makers and strategic planners responsible for the development of local authority ‘care technology’ strategy and procurement planning for older peoples’ care and support services.
